Feature! Trampers - Walking the new Te Araroa Trail you will pass through Whatawhata and we can arrange to pick you up for your night's stay with us. We can transport you to or from the track for a small charge. We have many trails close to us - apart from Te Araroa there is the Three Brothers Scenic Reserve and the Karakariki Valley Trail. We have also many tramping areas in the Hakaramata Ranges, the Pirongia Mountain Park, the Karioi Mountain Reserve, the Maungatautiri Mountain Reserve.  

The Waikato Region is the centre of one of the richest dairy farming centres of the world. The Agricultural Fieldays at Mystery Creek are easily accessible from Beaumere, taking around 20 minutes without the need to drive through the heavy city traffic in peak hours. Visitors come from throughout the world for the four-day event in June. March features the Balloon Festival, while April sees the V8 Supercars race around the city circuit, attracting thousands of international visitors. There are many attractions and stud farms and racing stables feature widely throughout the region.

Explore the secret world of the Waitomo Glowworm Caves, three-quarters of an hour from Beaumere, where your can experience black water rafting, the breathtaking glowwroms and limestone formations, underground rivers, sacred Maori sites and your guide will share with you ancient myths and legends - a must for visitors to the region. Don't forget to see Kiwis at the Otorohanga Kiwi House!

A short drive to Lake Karapiro where many water sports are held, including international rowing championships. Our river boat will take you on a tea cruise on our beautiful Waikato River. For those who wish to horse-ride, horse-trekking  is 10 minutes' drive away.

Shopping is a delight with beautiful locally-made goods on display as well as a huge selection of imported goods. There are many art and craft studios, all uniquely displaying locally-made treasures.

Visit Raglan with its trendy cafes, its hotel and bars and enjoy a day at the beach, just swimming and lazing, or you may wish to try your hand at some of the water sports - surfing, kayaking, windsurfing - it's all there. Raglan has the best surf around, and its harbour is beautiful.
